WATERTOWN-MAYER (15-2, 4-1): Nate Truniger 5, Ben Theisen 6, Riley Alger 5, Drew Thibault 7, Trae Berhow 33, Ethan McCleary 7, Wilson Kuhn 2.

WATERTOWN  – Trae Berhow’s 33 points led the Royals to a bounce back win over the Rockford Rockets. In a close first half, the Royals were able to hold off the Rockets down the stretch to get back in the win column and improve to 4-1 in conference play.

Drew Thibault added seven points, while Ben Theisen chipped in with six points. The Royals are back in action Friday, Feb. 3 at Mound Westonka.

LESTER PRAIRIE – In a game that was a back and forth affair throughout and filled with runs, it was the Maranatha Christian Mustangs how used an 8-0 run to close out the game and pick up a 71-63 win over the Lester Prairie/Holy Trinity Bulldogs Jan. 31.

Madi Radtke gave the Bulldogs a 63-61 lead with just over two minutes to go, but it was all Mustangs from their. After multiple turnovers and missed free throws by the Bulldogs, the Mustangs sealed the win down the stretch making their own free throws.

Radtke finished the game with 24 points and 10 rebounds for the Bulldogs. Jenna Dolezal added 10 points, while Kayla Weinzierl nearly had a double-double with nine points and 11 rebounds.

The Bulldogs are back in action Friday, Feb. 3 at Trinity.

MAYER – After a tight first half, it was the visiting Saints who pulled away down the stretch for a 70-63 win over the Crusaders Tuesday night. The loss is third in a row for the Crusaders who have struggled a bit of late, but also have been playing some tough competition.

Senior Emilee Gustin led the way with 18 points, while Mya Chmielewski added 16 points. The Crusaders are back in action Friday, Feb. 3 at Belle Plaine.
